Check the video compilation above as the recap of Alex’s journey back to sports after a hip replacement done on January 31.

⏳️June 17, just 4.5 months after his left-sided Total Hip Arthroplasty/Replacement, Alex conquered the challenging “Aarhus Hills” OCR Race. 🏆 Running 5km on rough, ascending, and descending terrain with +25 obstacles, he showed incredible strength and determination.

🏃⛰️🧗‍♂️🪨No pain during the race, as he ran, climbed, crawled, and lifted (Atlas 69kg/152lbs) through every obstacle. 💥

Afterwards, Alex experienced a little DOMS, but nothing related to his hip. In fact, he had extra strength and endurance, even helping his mates throughout the race! 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

Visit our block page or check below for more info and watch the inspiring videos documenting Alex’s full recovery and return to play. 🎥💪

👨‍🦯↗️🤸‍♂️So, go check out Alex’s inspiring THR journey using both BFR in his pre-and rehab!💯

Automatic Pressure adjustments during Blood Flow Restricted (BFR) Exercise – A randomized within-subject 8-week trial

Does auto adjusted blood flow restriction (BFR) training improve muscle growth and strength compared to fixed-pressure cuffs? In this first 8-week within-subject study using the Fit Cuffs BFR system, researchers found no meaningful differences in hypertrophy, strength gains, or perceived discomfort between autor and non-auto conditions. When pressure was prescribed relative to limb occlusion pressure (LOP) and training variables were standardized, both approaches produced significant improvements. Here’s what coaches, clinicians, and lifters need to know about auto vs fixed-pressure BFR.
